Meet Lindsey

Lindsey said that having anxiety at a young age led to other issues later on in her life.

The current senior said that being bullied because of her bad skin in middle school was the onset her having a negative view of herself.

Soon after, she became obsessed, but mostly critical, about her body image and eventually developed an eating disorder.

Because she had such poor eating habits, Lindsey's mother made her regularly see a therapist and nutritionist, who both advised that Lindsey go to a rehabilitation center for recovery.

Despite being on the path to recovery and receiving regular counseling help for her illnesses, Lindsey suffered set backs in her progress from unsupportive peers.

Lindsey admits that saying you have a problem and that you need help is tough, and counseling takes a lot of work. However, if you are struggling then getting help is the next important step to recovery.
